Hi everyone,
In Religion so far this term our topic has revolved around being “Stewards of Gods Creation.” We have done many activities and investigations about what the word “stewardship” means and have looked at all of the negative and positive things that have been done towards our environment.
I feel that in this Religion unit I have learnt many things that I never was aware of before, and now have a much better understanding on how to really care and protect our environment and Gods creation as a whole.
I have learnt a lot about how humans have been misusing the environments resources in many destructive and disrespectful ways.
The different ways that humans have been destroying the environment are:
- Littering – (pollution)
- Chopping down trees
- Hunting animals – (poaching)
- Animal cruelty
- Palm oil plantations
The reasons listed above are some of the ways that humans are ruining the environment, mind you that there are still many more as well.
Some solutions that us as humans can take into consideration when wanting to protect Gods creation is to:
- Recycle all resources properly
- Dispose all rubbish in the bin
- Help people who are in poverty
- Donate any unwanted items to the needy
- Share our goods with everyone
The reason that I have picked these solutions in particular is because I feel that they are very important things that everyone should do in order to care and protect Gods creation.
Overall, I have really enjoyed this Religion unit as I have gathered a lot of new information that is helpful and handy to know as prior knowledge.
