Hi everyone,
In Art this past term we have been completing activities revolved around the topic of clay.
We have created little spheres out of clay using a special method of rolling, molding and painting. There was a very strict process that we had to follow in order to successfully accomplish the task and was definitely something very new to me.
Something that I discovered during this clay project was that there are a lot of steps that you need to perfect, as if you do not complete them all properly your final result will turn out completely different.
The most difficult thing that I experienced during this project was molding the clay into a shape of a sphere, as the clay is dry and very complicated to move around flexibly.
I am proud of myself for coming out with something after having to complete all of the hard steps during this clay project. My end result looks reasonably okay, but the fact that I have something to show at the end of these lessons is all that matters.
Overall, I really enjoyed this term of clay learning as it is something that I have never done before so it was really good to experience.
Have you ever completed a project out of clay before?
